IPL 2023 is just around the corner and teams are making their final preparations. However, some key overseas players have been ruled out of the tournament due to injury concerns.

1. Hardik Pandya

3. Yudhvir Charak

Yudhvir Charak is an Indian domestic cricket player who plays for the Lucknow Super Giants (abbreviated as LSG) team as a bowler. He made his debut for the franchise in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.

He is a right-arm medium-pace bowler who has represented Hyderabad in domestic cricket. He debuted for the franchise in an IPL game against Punjab Kings at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

He made a brilliant start to his IPL career by dismissing Atharva Taide for a duck and Prabhsimran Singh for four runs. He will be hoping to replicate his performance in the remaining games of the tournament. The 25-year-old was the highlight of LSG’s bowling attack against Punjab Kings. His performance also earned him the 'impact player' tag for the match.

4. Naveen-ul-Haq

Naveen-ul-Haq has been the star of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2023. The Afghan pacer, who had a verbal spat with Virat Kohli in the RCB-LSG match on May 1, has been entertaining fans with his bowling skills. He ended the tournament with a bang against Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator at Chepauk and he took four wickets. The 23-year-old lauded his performance and credited Gautam Gambhir for giving him lessons on the field and off it.

The young Afghan cricketer has been a revelation in the IPL this season. He sat out in the 2022 edition of the tournament but made a strong comeback to the game this year. He is admired for his ability to bowl in the Powerplay. He is an expert at spotting the batsmen and he is also adept at hitting the deck hard.

5. Swapnil Singh

The Indian Premier League has always featured some of the best players in world cricket. And with the tournament getting closer to its climax, fans are eager to see some spectacular batting and bowling performances from their favourite team members.

However, the tournament is also missing some star players due to injuries. Jasprit Bumrah is among them, as he will miss the start of the tournament.

Born in Rae Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, Swapnil Singh made his first-class debut for Baroda in 2006, just a few days before his 15th birthday. He is a slow left-arm orthodox spinner and a right-handed batsman. In the 2023 IPL auction, he was picked up by Lucknow Super Giants at a base price of Rs 20 lakh. He has been an impressive performer for the new franchise this season.
